Tokyo day 6

Holiday is winding down and we seem to have run out of money...so cheap meals or the next two days before we head home.

1. Onigiri with some kind of meat patty and egg yolk in the middle (after not eating meat for four years I have no idea what's what...aside from pork...and that did not taste like pork)
2. Starbucks! Aside from onigiri I've been living off coffee in a can and starbucks coffee. No caffeine withdrawl for me this trip.
3. Pocari Sweat! Tastes better than I imagined it to. Might even buy more...
4. Dinner. Takoyaki and bento set from the stall outside Asakusa station. So delicious and sooooooooooo cheap.

Will definitely be scrounging around for money so we can eat out tomorrow night since we leave on Monday. Tomorrow is a day of last minute things and starting to pack. Worst

Tokyo day 5

1. Egg sandwich and onigiri for breakfast/lunch
2. Tempura set! Delicious! It had the awesome little custardy thing. Yum
3. Japanese peanut butter sandwich!

Bit of a nothing day...checked out a temple and wandered around stalls buying touristy things for people back home

Tokyo day 4

Just spent the day jumping on trains to Shibuya and Shinjuku to look at shops. Come out of it with a lighter wallet...but I've almost got presents for everyone now hooray.

1. Tuna and potato bread for breakfast and Peach drink (so sweet...I think I drank 1/4 of it. The bottle is sitting next to the bin in our room now).
2. RAMEN!!!!! I have now eaten four or five meat dishes since getting to Japan..four years of vegetarianism is now destroyed. Pork is just too delicious and I must have more.
3. Amazing biscuit thing. It was apple tart flavor and reminded me so much of cinnamon and apple pop tarts.
4. Dinner and desert for under ¥1000. Amazing! Couldn't get half of this for that price back in Melbourne. I got Takoyaki, Eggplant in a spicy sauce with rice, pickles and some macaroni pieces, and some chocolates. My eyes are obviously bigger than my stomach...I was so full after I finished my dinner I thought I was going to explode. I have eaten the Crunky popjoys (not as good as I thought they would be) but the others can just wait until tomorrow.

Tokyo day 3: Disney Sea :)

Most exciting place in the world oh my god!
Usual breakfast of onigiri so I didn't bother taking a photo (it all looks the same guys come on).
1. Curry stick and orange juice as a quick snack at the Arabian Nights section of Disney Sea
2. Shrimp Taco for lunch (Indian Jones section of Disney...not what it was called but I can't actually remember).
3. After a hard day we went to a Katsu bar...and I sucked it up and ate pork. Delicious...but I felt pretty sick after

Tokyo day 2: Harajuku!

We went to check out Harajuku today. Definitely don't want to think about how much money I spent.

1. Harajuku crepe. I got chocolate and cream cheese (not a huge sweet fan and I wasn't willing to have a big blob of cream in my crepe)
2. Onigiri and Jasmine tea
3. Sushi train for dinner! So much better than Australian sushi trains (you actually get fresh sashimi with tuna) but as deceptive as usual. Has to have been the most expensive meal so far this trip.
